Well little Willbee groupies... Willbee went to school in Grasmere today. Well we visited a tiny little school called Church of England Grasmere School. Grasmere is a town where Beatrix Potter grew up and wrote her tales of Peter Rabbit a and Jemima Puddleduck. Maybe your teachers will show you some of these little stories. The Vikings were here and their names for the lakes stuck. The boat rental place is a couple of miles away in Portinscale so we drive. Good thing we reserved our canoe. Otherwise we'd have to wait for one to come back. The day ...

A travel blog entry by gadfly on Aug 08, 2014

Went Fell walking in the morning. Wonderful views of the lakes from the top of the Fell ridges. Spent the afternoon resting. Early dinner at hotel and then the remaining 16 drove to the 'Theatre by the Lake' in Keswick to see a performance of Shakespeare's 'The Comedy of Errors'. Another wonderful day!!
