... swim in. We went into town but because it was Sunday everything was closed. We went back to the lake and found out where all the people were. It was very crowded and every second person had a small bbq. There was that many bbqs that the air was thick with smoke, talk about smoke on the water. It was a little disappointing but with nothing open I suppose the locals and tourists all end up at the lake. ...

... is beautiful with a lovely big room, wide balcony overlooking the pool and out to sea, and a bath. We walked down into the village of Pietranera, just out of Bastia, and unfortunately we couldn't find any sandy beaches, only a few little pebbly ones. However only five minutes from the hotel we have a supermarket, fruit shop, bakery and patisserie, etc. After a swim in the pool we walked into Bastia and explored the town. It was a bit of a long drive from Arles to Annecy where we had to drop off our beloved Fifi. We got in around 3 and discovered the last bus to Geneva was at 7:15. We worried this would not be enough time to explore the town but we quickly discovered it was even smaller than Arles. This town is beyond cute tho. ... br> Today, she treated me to another delicious treat, the Mille-Feuilles, translated means "a thousand leaves". This is a light pastry that consists of paper-thin layered wafers on top and bottom, with a light whipped-type sugar cream in between. Oh my goodness – so good!

... cole, is a beautifully made big wooden space, shutters, heavily insulated, massive flat screen, generators etc. The observatory itself is the classic barrel and dome with a big telescope under a steel rotating dome. He has calibrated it, tuned it, lined it up so you can point to the digital map and it goes to the one you asked for. It is very impressive.
