... be signing up for a temporary European cell phone. Fingers crossed that staying awake until 8pm tonight will take care of most of my jet lag...only 3 more hours until bedtime!

I'm looking forward to Thursday, and beginning the first of many long weekends, this one with my best friend. Meanwhile, I'll try to break out the black clothes and assimilate myself a little more into Swiss culture!

Packing, packing and flying

... bought for the entire week on the slopes!! They were happy and pretty awesome on the flight and through the airports. We arrived late and took the shuttle over the border to France and stayed at the Novotel. Dinner was late and we didn't get the kids to bed until midnight. They were so amazed by the tiny patches of snow when we arrived, it made them very excited, so after dinner it took a little while to calm them down.

... cole, is a beautifully made big wooden space, shutters, heavily insulated, massive flat screen, generators etc. The observatory itself is the classic barrel and dome with a big telescope under a steel rotating dome. He has calibrated it, tuned it, lined it up so you can point to the digital map and it goes to the one you asked for. It is very impressive. After a bit of walking through the park we got to the bbq and Raymon and Geoff lit the wood fire and then cooked all the traditional sausage and bread that the Swiss German have, this was a great lunch and neat to see the proper way to cook these different sausages, they taste so much better than the precooks or any sausage from New World at home.
