We walked around the village near the castle, visited the castle, admired the yards, ran around the flower gardens that we weren't supposed to run around in (criminal I know….), checked out souvenir shops, took photos

... resembled homes and farm buildings from centuries past. These were more than one hundred centuries-old buildings. It was very fun, and it was the perfect day to go. The weather was gorgeous. We had rain overnight and on waking it was damp, gloomy and overcast. After breakfast we strolled into Interlaken rather than taking the bus to do a bit of grocery shopping. After lunch the weather was not promising - one or two short spells of sunshine and warmth, so we did not venture forth, opting to potter about - David cleaning the bikes, me doing the ironing.
