    Terrific stay at Beausite!

The location of this hotel is just awesome, you just open the windows and you are welcomed by views of lush mountains and a splash of colors. We had been here during autumn season, so it was a spectacular site from the window. The rooms were huge, very comfortable, the buffet was terrific, really a perfect place. This was our best hotel during our 9 day stay in Switzerland and Paris.

We were ABOVE the clouds and the views were spectacular. There is even an ice palace at the top. Ended the day by collecting our luggage and heading down ...

... where I was trying not to die.

We were told by our trip leader, Sarah, that it will be a 10 hour trip on the coach from Paris to the Alps.. Ouch! That does sound a bit terrible doesn't it? Well, the drive went by pretty fast so it was quite alright. The journey was full of beautiful sceneries, so it did make the journey quite bearable. After a while of being on the coach we started to see some snow on the ...

... train ride away) I decide that I will do just that, now, this evening (it's 5.30 now). I pack dinner, get train details from a super-helpful official, and hop on the train (after ensuring trains run late enough for me to definitely get back). Much of my time in Switzerland looks set to be on their (excellent) trains. Tomorrow I'll start the day by heading to Jungfraujoch, highest altitude railway station in Europe. This place, I recall, was what first attracted ...
