Lovely family-run hotel, great friendly atmosphere. Easy walk from Interlaken West station & also into town. Large room with mountain view, very comfortable

      Fun Day and Fondue Too!

... Euro. Alex raced us to the train station in Morges, and dropped us off with hugs...he gave Sandy one of those two-cheek kisses...I declined his offer! Can't thank Alex and Annie enough for their hospitality! Good friends indeed.

Not sure why we hurried to the train station. The Swiss, who are always on time, had a train delayed...almost 5 minutes! Oh no! We were headed to Lausanne, Bern and then Interlaken. It was a beautiful ...

... to come and look at our room - the window had been shut all day so it was just disgusting about 50 new flies and they were dead in the bed as well. The second train contains a group chatting to each other in their common language of English, on topics ranging from travellers detained on weak grounds (Istanbul and USA) to one guy's experience of living in Kiribati to the German-accented man's opinion on smartphones (likes ...

We had rain overnight and on waking it was damp, gloomy and overcast. After breakfast we strolled into Interlaken rather than taking the bus to do a bit of grocery shopping. After lunch the weather was not promising - one or two short spells of sunshine and warmth, so we did not venture forth, opting to potter about - David cleaning the bikes, me doing the ironing. A little later a couple of British caravans checked in, two couples ...

... the snow covered mountain peaks less than half an hour from our destination. Campsite Lazy Rancho receives justifiable excellent reviews and If the thorough and genuine welcome at check-in is anything to go by, we shall have a fab week here with lots to see and do. We pitched, put up the awning, did a load of laundry and have just dined on paella cooked on our newly acquired Cadac gas cooker - first time ...
