    ... on a train up to Shilthorn. Elle and I went for a walk into town, and then were reading and waiting in reception for paragliding pick up. We met the instructors, mine was a guy called Pete. We drove up a mountain, and then had to walk for about 5 minutes to the 'launch pad'. The instructors rolled out their paraglides, and then Pete put me in the harness, gave me a jacket, gloves and helmet. Ready! Elle went first, and I could hear her laughing all the way ...

    ... 11:15am. We reached Lutzigers house and were received very warmly by Hans, his wife and Isabelle's sister Caroline.

    Caroline and Han's wife very kindly offered to take care of the kids while Hans took us on a quick tour of Berne. The kids loved the swimming pool and had loads of fun at Hans house and also they were so tired that on the long drive to Brussles they slept for most of the time ...

    ... which is extremely steep at times it seems vertical. Watching dad he was not enjoying it and was looking around imagining the worst case scenario.
    The view from the top was awesome could see for miles as it was a nice day as-well.

    Then went for a beer at hooters before driving back to Marcus's place.

    ... exceptionally wet and cool this summer has been. We are finishing with a blitz of the two places we wanted to see most in Italy, Cinque Terre and Rome. Our next trip to Italy trip will have a bigger budget to see the places we are missing and eat more of the food. We are cutting out 12 days, which is probably about the average Italian vacation. We are already planning our trip back, but it won't be in July. We can already tell that Italy is very hot and very crowded. Look out for Cinque Terre and Rome posts ...

    ... However I am the only one in it so I have the bathroom all to myself a fantastic balcony and view of the alps.

    I caught the upper Gondola up to Bettmerhorn where you can see the Aletsch Glacier a 26km Glaceir that is now a UNESCO site. I am on the opposite side of the alps to Jungfrau(the highest mountain and the Eiger but I am still able to see them). Also to the other side with such fantastic weather I can see all the way to ...
