    ... The stream drains the glaciers on the north and west flanks of the Eiger, Monch, and Jungrau mountains. The torrent was terrifying from a kayakers point of view, but Kate enjoyed it immensely.     ... We ended up having a great night chatting to him and his friends and receiving free drinks and shots. We didn't spend a dollar. After that we don't remember much, so guess it was straight to bed. We forgot the fact that drinking at altitude affects you differently, and we're 1000m up here. Whoops

LAUSANNE (short commuter train) --> MONTREAUX (panoramic train) --> ZWEISIMMEN (panoramic train) --> INTERLAKEN (ski/commuter train) --> LAUTERBRUNNEN (cable car/gondola) --> GRUSCHALP (small mountain train) --> MURREN.     ... However I am the only one in it so I have the bathroom all to myself a fantastic balcony and view of the alps.

    I caught the upper Gondola up to Bettmerhorn where you can see the Aletsch Glacier a 26km Glaceir that is now a UNESCO site. I am on the opposite side of the alps to Jungfrau(the highest mountain and the Eiger but I am still able to see them). Also to the other side with such fantastic weather I can see all the way to ...
