Return, Day 3: Montréal, QC to North Bay, ON
... I could have been in the American Midwest today. Weather was gorgeous, summer's last hurrah; the winds were calmer today than during the first 2 days.

Not quite superior, but very close!
We got the tent packed up fast this morning and I made myself and nice coffee. Went down and had a swim the mighty Lake Superior. How vast and huge this lake is. It's incredible! Bella, of course, just couldn't get enough of the stick throws. We got out of there by around 10:30 am and headed for Sault Ste. Marie. We hiked in the rain
... and then took off to find a waterfall. The map they gave us was weird, so it took us a while, and just as we were at the furthest point into the forest, CRASH BAM, the thunderstorm started. So we got out of there as quick as possible, but this was not very fast at all. By the time we were out of the forest, it had stopped raining.
Then we made a pizza in the oven and I fell asleep really really early.

Bon nous voila rendu à Sturgeons Falls et ce presque sans anicroche.

Getting ready, Set, Go!
We've enjoyed a few days in Callander on Callander Bay, Lake Nippising (near North Bay) with friends Judy Skidmore and Phil Hearn. Judy and Phil are long time friends from rugby days and it is always great to get together for good food, wine, port and conversation.
We picked up the trailer Thursday and have had it checked out and bought a few provisions before setting out for Lake Superior early Monday May 28.
Now the adventure really begins.
