I so loved our place of anchor last night. I fell asleep with tepid, calming winds blowing over the deck, and ruffling my bedsheets. Unfortunately a long night's rest was not in the cards for me. I woke up around 3:00a.m., to a methodical, occasional, "thump", feeling like it was coming from beneath Milena. I knew our anchor was not slipping, but I thought the chain might be rubbing on the rocks at the bottom of the sea. It wasn't until much later in the ...

We walked down to the restaurant and were intrigued by the containers of water at every bend. Water - to bus used in the event of a fire!

Our walk took us along the sea front at dusk - so picturesque but a huge new hotel may have an impact. Unfortunately the road is too narrow to safely walk back, at night. This meant we said no to the deserts!

... Turkey – yet. I suspect they are working on that as we found some new, well organised trail markers and followed one along reasonable gradients through some out of the way villages. It was great to be away from the traffic and to get a peek of life away from tourist towns.

We are very grateful to have been told about this special nook – The Man from Ford, confirmed it’s a well -kept ...
