"Temple'ing" the Wai Ba Miao
... Putuo Zongcheng temple, which was constructed as a small scale replica of the very famous Potala Palace in Tibet. Although, as you'll be able to see from my pics, the windows are only painted on and many of the buildings are actually hollow shells ie. no roof, nothing inside, just walls. Bishushanzhuang - Emperor's playground
... that were brought here for the Emperors "hunting pleasure" all those years ago ... I'm glad to see them free and alive as they are here now. Nice random, slightly weird sort of thing to see them wandering around here amongst temples and such.
Overall it was a pretty relaxing day, nice and quiet too being offseason which is really the best and most appropriate way to experience ancient Chinese gardens and temples.

... busride so far in terms of "out of the window scenery", passed by some Great Wall sections too but wasn't on the ball with the camera to catch it.
It's times like this I wish I had a car here so I could stop off along the way and take in some of these places ...
