... Nanchong there were some fantastic walking opportunities just on the door step to the city. Straight away you could get into nature and see lots of creepy crawlies like the praying mantis in the pics - one of my fav's.
There was also a bit of a Buddha theme park where they are making a new largest Buddha. This was a good contrast to the ancient one we'd seen before and really drove home the efforts involved in the construction of the first.
We had the most delicious barley pancake (青稞饼) before taking the gondola for the ascent.
Plane for Chendu was delayed for 3 and 1/2 hours; what a bore for there was nothing better to do in the small airport.
