    ... but teaming with visitors snapping photos and taking rickshaw rides from men in what look more like yellow silk pyjamas. Despite it being dark, I had a great evening taking long exposures, turning the busy streets into quiet scenes.
    Returning to the hotel, my air conditioning and my little fish in the square glass bowl (which I have named, Sushi) is a relief. I have picked up a sore through and a cough. I hope it does not get worse.
    Sleep comes quickly.

    ... the 2014 youth Olympics (which I didn't know was a thing). I went to a Buddhist temple near the old Ming walls, the walked on the wall to the park entrance. I then visited the tomb of the first Ming emperor (the only one not buried In Beijing) and the tomb of Sun Yat-Sen--acknowledged by both Nationalists and Communists as the father of republican China.
