... really nice, on the Pearl River estuary. Well, getting there wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. After a mean bus driver letting another guy at the bus stop on and then driving off before I could get on, I headed back to Yongding for more regular buses. They didn't have any buses until late... so I went to another town an hour or so away. Finally I arrived in Xiamen around 4:30. Visited the awesome Nanputuo Temple, which is a Buddhist temple that is still very ...

... for a bit and as we were heading back to the bus, we saw little sand crabs so we squatted and watched them move around, the beach here has a fair amount of rubbish lying near the waters edge, I wouldn't liked to had swum here! Near the exit to where we had to meet, we bought a sugar donut thing but it wasn't soft, it was like a chorro stick but harder. Back on the bus and this time heading for the pedestrian shopping street, yahoo!! We had 1 hour and 10 minutes ...

Had a lazy day today staying around the Hotel Indigo. We walked down Zhongshan Lu and had lunch at Aijsen Ramen, one of our favourite Japanese restaurant chains. We then wandered back to the hotel and had afternoon tea sitting up in the restaurant area overlooking the harbour and Gulangyu Island, unfortunately not warm or nice enough to sit outside.
