We are having a wonderful time here in the Tuscany hills. The good and wine is great and the scenery awesome. Yesterday we went to Florence and went to see the real David sculpture at the academia , had lunch in a restaurant , learnt about gold jewellery and leather and had a city walking your with a local guide. Today we have a few hours free to explore Montecatini and this afternoon to Lucca ...

Big day planned - all day tour in Florence. So much ground to cover, it's going to be a challenge. We once more endure the ride to Florence, sans video games to distract, but tales of palaces and cool bridges keep interest up enough to arrive in Firenze without an incident.

We are greeted by Sara, pronounce Sa-rah, a beautiful young Florentine who loves her city with a passion that matches if not surpasses the love I have ...

Small white daisies colored the green lawn carpet beneath our feet. It was hot in the sun but in the shade it was nice and cool. We made our way to the rose garden in one of the corners which overlooks the countryside. It smelt wonderful. Red roses and gorgeous peonies filling the air with sweet aromas. It ...

... offer, it just absorbs you up like a sponge. Yeah, I would say Florence has certainly done that. It's going to be a very bittersweet departure next week, but for right now, I'm going to try to live it up to the fullest.

I added some pictures I've taken of Florence over the past couple weeks just so you can get a feel for what Florence is all about.

I'll be in the sinking city of Venice for the weekend and I promise lots of pictures upon my return! :)
