... I was walking along the Arno back to Ponte Vecchio (which is to be avoided at all times given the number of tourists there) when I came across this restaurant that appears to be in a pop-up type of building. Decided to have lunch here instead. Had a couple of glasses of Prosecco - something that I am becoming addicted to - a sparkling sweetish wine and grilled Melanzano (eggplant) and a round of cheese. Very nice and while I sit here typing this they are playing Rene Geyer - ...

Today we drove to nearby Montecatini Terme meet Ronald and Hazel, Mum's Scottish aunty and uncle (from Burghead) who are also holidaying here! Montecatini Terme in located in Pistoia, which is the town we overlooked when driving from Bologna on one of our first days. One of the major draw-cards here are the old spa pools, renowned for healing all kinds of ailments from drinking their precious waters. We arrive and catch the ...

This was the earliest morning ever - 4:00 AM. We drove across the country to Fumiciano airport. The autostrada across the mountain range is amazing. We found Anna sitting next to a nun at the airport - her flight had arrived an hour early. One train into Roma Termini and then a fast (it reached 250 km/hr) train into Florence.

A short walk from the Florence train station found our hotel, and another short walk got us to the Duomo. I asked a ...

... in the road of this town, and down at a bus stop all the Nono's are sitting, having a gathering. We were laughing as we see gatherings like this of the Italian Nono's sitting outside Gladesville Muffin Break  all the time. All of us were glad to be back home again after another day touring!! Tomorrow is our last Day here. We are heading back into Firenze for the day. Shopping in the morning and Ufizy Gallery for Phil and I in the ...

This semester, I am taking a family business class. We are mostly examining Italian companies and family businesses. My group will be doing a project on Ferrero Rocher. You might know them as the company that makes Nutella. My professor is actually a member of a famous wine-making family, Frescobaldi, and we will be visiting her family castle later in the semester.

This trip was to the Santa Maria Novella Pharmacy distribution center in Florence. The pharmacy ...
