... Spa Baths (we can't swim in them) but get to walk around the huge grounds and taste some of the salty, "healing" water. Before we leave for the afternoon we wander through the markets, get gelato (banana and bubblegum flavour this time - yum!) and then say our goodbyes (but not for long as we will soon see them in Scotland). Home sweet home back in Fiu Maretta and Rose makes us a tasty chicken and lemon risotto for dinner. ...

... to go to Acadamia but came across the Medici Chapel and, as it is part of our Uffizi pass, we decided to go in. We were so glad we did. This is such a magnificent chapel. The space is not very large but it has an enormous dome. The whole chapel is lined in marble of many different colours and is just stunning. It was designed by Michelangelo and has amazing artworks in there as well.

The downside of his new shoes, of course, is that they are not broken in yet. The others were giving him sore soles because the padding was pretty much gone, but these are putting a little pressure on his heel (although they fit well). He got a blister yesterday and has been walking gingerly today in spite of using moleskin. I figure it is just as well that we didn't go to Voltarro, or San Giminiano, or both (as we had planned).
