Breakfast at the restaurant next door to the hotel. We were late starting again due to the late night last night. Breakfast at Casa Valdez was surprising in quality and amount. We wondered if it would be reasonable to do a quick tour of the city so went out to the, hooked up with our elderly tour guide (elderly=ten or more years olderthanself) who proceeded to hail a taxi which was our tour transport for over three hours.

After class I pretty much ran towards the music and found the same the dance classes I went to last year! Luckily, there was an even number of students so Chava, the teacher, was just standing there watching everyone dance. When he saw me, he invited me in and I danced away the next 15 ...

... several monuments and buildings that we just had to see. Looking out over the city, is a monument honouring El Pipila, a local hero who burned the doors of a building in which the Spanish had barricaded themselves, on September 28, 1810, enabling Father Hidalgo and his motley crew of peasants to win the first victory of the independence movement. The statue shows El Pepila holding a torch and standing in a defiant pose. It can be seen anywhere that you are in the city and it is worth ...
