      ... We went to see Pompeii in 3D, really impressive !! We loved it. 25th After breakfast and doing some exercise we spent our afternoon at the pool.       ... want to sit up on the top deck. No worries though as Thai,s have a solution ,give every body a standard sized buoyancy aid ,biff boff sorted! As the boat was very full I sat right at the back in the open! The last time I visited the island ,there were a few fishermen's huts at one end and very quiet beaches. There is a small ramshackle village there now which is nice to wander around. Once you land you head for a carpark area where tuk tuks and pick up taxis ...

      ... appreciated the craftsmanship that it took to build this, not one nail or screw was used in the entire building. On our way out we stopped to take a few pictures and feed the elephants. Mom was beyond excited (and nervous, as you may be able to tell in the photos) that she finally got to see some elephants herself, she had been really jealous of our experience with the elephants in Chiang Mai.       ... turned to each other and said it was the best place we have been to in thailand - its a huge temple, carved entirely out of wood. It has over 100 tree trunks holding it up, its taken over 30 years to build and they are still finishing it! Its magnificant and the photos will not do it justice at all.
