... jungle with a stream that flowed past it. The trip back was quite tiring as it was back up the steep stairs to our minivan, where our driver was waiting to take us into town.

We changed our minds about going to Ubud centre and went back to the hotel instead. I sat and blogged while Edd read the news and we all relaxed on the sun loungers by the private pool. We ordered 2 pizzas to share between us with G&T's all round and then resumed our ...

... views of the ocean. We both ordered the classic Indonesian dish, Nasi Goreng, which is friend rice and vegetables served with a fried egg on top. We swam and tanned until 5, then made our way back home, we didn't want to be ...

The rest of our time in Bali was quite relaxed. We met Kevins sister and spend a lot of time in the hotel by the pool. Went to a water park (see review) and to Bali Safari & Marine Park which was an incredible experience.

After all, we very much enjoyed Bali, but we were also looking forward to go back to western civilization. In our case Perth, Australia!

... bedtime anyway! Koh Lanta was nice in theory but in practice I really didn’t like the island that much and I can’t explain why. The first couple of days I was ill so just slept. Then I went to a hostel on Long Beach which is full of backpackers and hippies but the vibe just wasn’t right for me so I drove south which I was told was quieter and nicer. I found a beautiful secluded beach with cheap bungalows right on the beach which included a balcony with ...
