... We head back along the road to Sarande. Artan wants to show me an old monastery but when we arrive the gates are locked. We are held up by a flock of sheep and goats being herded along the road by a lady. I snap a few pics but Artan is not impressed.

... Pashas castle. The Triangular fort had a gate tied by string so I opened it and wandered in and there was a cow as a guard. Not much else to see. Some fisherman are getting mussels from the shore, one is in the water and his wife with him feeding him apples as he goes along. Whatever! It is already about 1.00 by the time I head out for a walk around Sarande. It is enjoyable. The sea is all greek islands, the hills behind the town remind me of Dubrovnik but the planning is all Albanian. That is, there is no planning in the newer part of town.
