Incredible!! What a joy we had with Spiros as our tour guide today. We were off the ship with no problem at all and met Spiros exactly as he'd directed. We were immediately off into the mountains and so many local villages. The people were lovely, though we didn't see too many as it was raining pretty hard for about thirty minutes. Then, it brightened up. The first village we went through was Doukades. Very narrow roads - no way big busses could get through there. We soon learned ...
I now understand what a warm sea breeze feels like! We sit out on the veranda whenever possible and truly enjoy it. Luckily the last few days have been without rain; so we're not having to carry around a lot of extra "stuff" (raincoat, umbrella. . .).

After leaving Portugal, we flew to Cambridge, England, to spend two days with Lorraine and Justin Robinson. We love this couple, and they always show us the best time in merry old England. ... various signs for 'old quarters' but as the town is so hilly we didnt want to climb down and back up all the cobbled steps. Next was the castle at the top of the peak so we needed to climb up to that first.

Had a really good sleep in today. Feeling so much better after some easy going says in Greece. I'll definitely be sad to leave. After breakfast a few of us chose to get the bus in to Corfu town to have a look around. We sat down for lunch at a nice seaside restaurant, and I had an amazing Greek mixed grill.
