... we will usually change our route to incorporate it. Always been worth it so far. Some of the houses along Lake Michigan were so large and opulent - mansions. Along the beaches, there were lots of people taking advantage of the good weather. The water in Lake Michigan is very very cold though we did see a few people swimming. ... bar next door and chatted with the bartender over a beer. He said the weather was actually warmer than what's normal for this time of year. "It's usually about ten degrees colder. It's snowing.
