Into the desert this morning .... A lot of fun. Back to hotel, pool and lunch then off to Atlantis Waterpark. Evening spent in Dubai Mall. Thought I had booked a boat to watch the water fountain display from but no ..... Went to top of Burj Khalifa instead ... Spectacular ...

We spent 3hrs at the park before heading back to the hotel, as we got into the hotel we found a cake in our room wishing Kate happy birthday. A nice surprise to finish off the day.


Tomorrow we fly to south Africa, another 8 hrs on the plane. Its alot cooler in south Africa then here though so will give my shoulders some time to recover. There a little red after two days in the sun.

Christmas Day on a plane! Yay yay yay! I woke up still on my plane towards Dubai. I couldn't sleep great which is surprising considering I have been sleeping on buses for the past 4 months. Ok, so weve been in Dubai since very early morning on Wednesday 18th December ( Ocean View, The Walk, Jumeirah) and what have we done?????IWell ............ after a chill and a lunchtime sleep we walked to the Metro station and went the The Mall at the Burj Kalifer.
