      An early start this morning and as usual we got an earlier train , which was boarding in 5 mins, so we arrived in Dover before we had left France.
      The worst thing that struck us was the awful state of the English roads. The concrete M20 is diabolical. What on earth foreign visitors must think - its an awful welcome to the country.
      The Spanish road system is superb and the French roads were all open in snow and ice.

      So met up with a friend yesterday which was lovely, had a great chat and some retail therapy in Hobbycraft ;) and not only did a spend a fortune on drawer storage but also ending up with a commission to knit 2 baby blankets as a gift for her friend...! These should be quicker as they are plain not striped...will post photos when finished. Today is dry weather (at last!) so must tackle shed! Go can't be that ...

      What a difference a GPS makes, instead of a stressed yelling and screaming mis-navigated departure we had a calm departure and left town without nary a cross word. We stopped at Bignor which is a recreated Iron Age village, not all that interesting, but then I guess that living during that time wasn't too blimmin interesting anyway. ...

      ... get out of the cab for difficult reversing. The screen sits over the original rear view mirror in the cab therefore not cluttering the dash and comes on automatically when reverse is engaged or as required at the push of a button.
      The work was done by the excellent Andy Willis and team at Caravan and Motorhome Solutions in Chard - very friendly and helpful after a number of phone calls to other companies who were the opposite.
