... we were staying. The journey was great in that it gave us good views of quite a bit of Malta, and the temperature read-out at the front said 18°C, so we were very happy! Our overriding impressions were of grand-looking houses interspersed with derelict ones, and fields separated by rubble walls or hedges of prickly pear.

... of the English accents which sound sophisticated regardless of the actual verbatim. So far the people of York have been very helpful and sweet in suggesting the best place for traditional fish and chips--in fact, we're heading to a recommended restaurant with our professor shortly to try the local dish and ale!
