    ... the hunger finally took over and he rummaged through the stuff and went and had the fried rice in the kitchen (I checked in the bin in the morning to see if he had eaten it :) ). Yay – at least he utilised it even if he wont look or talk to me. This went on the whole time I was there (4-5 days).     ... the girls most of the sunbathing. On the way back we called in at a supermarket to get supplies for tonight's dinner which the girls are now preparing. It promises to be a sumptuous feast of chicken, potatoes and veg. Lauren and I are actually sick of eating in restaurants so it will no doubt be a welcome change.

    Arriving at Miri International Airport on Monday afternoon I was immediately catapulted back into time. I was here when this airport was officially opened back in 2003.     There's little to see in Miri in terms of sights, but it's a good place to base yourself for a trip to Niah national park and Mulu national park. There is a petroleum museum on the hill, but it's been closed for sometime and there is no scheduled reopening date yet.
