... moved since. Actually it's virtually impossible to get it out as it's full of antiques as well making it a terrific display stand. Saturday evening we attended a local firework display which was part of the celebration of the start of the holiday season. We have found that with the support of the sat nav we've been able to find our way ...

The months of anticipation and planning are over, here we are, lives packed in a campervan waiting to sail for Rotterdam and the Rhine lands beyond. The drive down to Hull was fairly uneventful. After a morning of rain showers we collected Evan from school and were underway by 2pm. Evan slept half of the way.

Spent the last two days in Cleethorpes/Grimsby where Grandma grew up before sailing to New Zealand when she was in her late teens.

So good to meet up with extended family and be looked after with a place to stay. Nice to put a face to the name as well as Grandma does like to talk about the past "Grimsby will always be her home".

This is my last night at home before I head out to Guatemala via Houston.
I'm too nervous to sleep and I'm enjoying my bedroom for the last time.
I am also finishing some last minute music downloads and playlist editing for my ipod. Setting off at 4:30 in the morning for London Heathrow. I will also be keeping a personal journal as well as an online blog.

I will post again once I'm there and I get chance.

But the coastguard even put the callout on every weather broadcast on the coast asking for my whereabouts. I.e concern over the wherabouts of red dwarf, believed to be heading to grimsby.
