... to make the most of it and hopped onto the ferry to Parramatta. The trip took about 1.5 hours which was very enjoyable with lots to look at along the way. Stopped off in Parramatta for about an hour and caught the ferry back. By the time we got back to Circular Quay at 6 pm it was pitch black outside. Then we had to find our way back to Lane Cove, fortunately Mike has a great sense of direction or I would still be in Sydney. Hmmm but we got onto the bus and landed up ...

... glasses of wine which was really nice. On Saturday we went to Taronga Zoo for the day which was great fun, we had to get the ferry there since it is on an island which we all got very excited about (even Alicia who gets a bit sea sick!). It was a lovely day so we wandered around the zoo seeing all the animals - the highlights were definitely the giraffes and the kangaroos. Passed a Vapiano on my walk and had a hankering for spag bol so popped in for some dinner. Tomorrow should be more interesting so come back soon! Night ...

... for a roast. It rounded off a beautiful weekend of food! The main reason we've had a chilled week is that we've booked to go to Melbourne next weekend to see some of our friends and my brother in law. It's all sorted for Wednesday through to Saturday and it should be a good weekend! Not only will we be down in Victoria, but it will be both of our birthdays as well! Who knows what's on (or maybe even in) the cards! Written by ...

... to just ride the ferry all the way over to Circular Quay which is the main ferry stop right between the Bridge and Opera House. It also happens to be the site of a Gelatissimo, so we just had to check out the local gelato scene of course. I would say it gets 2 thumbs up for all its tastiness.

As part of the Chinese New Year festivities, there was a Lanterns of the Terracotta Warrior art installation set up out on Dawes Point near the Bridge. Fashioned out of ...
