... the restaurant with Scott was also a lovely start to the trip.
Highlight: dinner with our very good friends at the Waterside

The Cotswolds: The Cotswold region was one of my 2 favourite places on the whole trip and we will most definitely be back. We just touched the tip of the iceberg in terms of exploring this part of England and that landscape will stay with me forever.
Highlight: the farm we stayed on and the Cotswold stone houses.

After a good flight we landed in Sydney only around ten minutes late. We'd arranged to meet my cousin, Simon, that evening at our accommodation. We'd thought leaving an hour and a half spare to get from the airport to the hotel would be plenty, however the shuttle bus had other plans! And my old fishing friend Ronnie was there, as usual, perched hunched on "his rock" on the harbour wall fishing as he does every day for Black Fish. He had taught me how to fish for these elusive creatures some years ago. Black Fishing is quite an art and despite my rather enlongated learning curve, we have remained firm friends since.

So today was my final day in Sydney. Been a great first 10 days and loved Sydney as a city. I went over to manly on the ferry today, really cool place, great vibe and a nice atmosphere about the place. I seem to have a problem putting sun cream on properly/forgetting where I've put it so got some pretty burnt legs and feet. It's not good but over the course of this year I'm sure I'll get better at it! I fly to Perth in 7 hours so need to get some sleep. I'll update you all soon. Much love. ...
