... town.
On my way to Bulgaria I cursed a bear of a man called, unfittingly, Mimi. Mimi had convinced me that the coastal road to Bulgaria was quiet. How wrong he was! He was, however, right about a bag being full of live ducks.
I took the first opportunity to leave this road of doom, cruised south westerly and entered Bulgaria untwarted at a quiet border-crossing town which translates into English as Black Water.

Golden Sands (Bulgaria) to Constanta (Romania)
Sunny periods 29 degrees
We left Golden Sands and travelled north to Constanta. The drive was fairly easy as we passed huge fields of barley, corn and sunflower (must be stunning when flowering). We also passed some new wind farms. We crossed the border with a little difficulty as they scrutinised our car paperwork but finally let us continue. We arrived in Constanta without a ...
... us we could actually go inside the wall and walk 360 degrees through it. So of course we did that. There are no lights, just the open windows that let in the sunlight, so it is quite dark in the walls. I thought it was pretty fun.
After Prejmer all we had to do was drive for a long, long time. We were heading to Constanta and it isn't that far (about 300km) but the roads here suck and so does the traffic so it took all afternoon to get there ...
Finally got to the bus station, got onto a sleek looking mini bus and off we went. Unfortunately the windows were mostly fogged up, still being early so didnt get a lot of pics on the way. About 2.5 hours later we arrived at Constanta, the seaport of Romania. I had planned to stay here a night, but i didn't like the look fo the people ...
Constanta, Romania scottik38Woke early Saturday to catch an early train to the Black Sea resorts in Constanta. You have to catch an early train this time of year coz the trains are 40 years old and have no AC, so in the afternoon they are brutal. Met up with some friends and went out on the town. Notthing too exciting to report...good food and a good time, but I was too tired and heated to really ...
Constanta, Romania kenpeterson... with them as here we`re not going to catch anything [the road was literally empty] and I`ll calculate the costs on the way there. If you negotiate 25 Euros per person, I`m in." They did indeed. The coach was half empty. The other half was filled by... Romanian gypsies. While I was asleep our guys were being friendly to them, we being fed by them etc., in order to make them not to rob us at night. We went through the whole coastline of Bulgaria and at midnight we ...
Constanta, Constanta, Romania bogna... markets and rides. You can compare it to Thredbo (where everything is alive in winter) but here it is the case in summer. It was some experience. So after going to sleep around 1am on Sunday morning, then waking up at 4 to leave for seaside, we were totally wasted and went to bed about 11pm. On Monday we caught up with some friends from Roxy's home town. We were together at the beach. It was pretty much a bludge day where we lazed around. Here we ...
Constanta, Romania rvs... it out to see what we had and gave it back. Then they did it a second time all the while asking us where we were from and where we were going. They then sent us on our way. On recalling this incident to our fellow travellers we showed them what happened and only then noticed our bigger bills were missing. I ended up losing 50 Euros and my wife lost $50 US and 50 Euros. They were so slick we didn't even notice. Anyway we ...
Constanta, Romania costa07... general are very friendly, very helpful, and generally eager to practice their English. And let me just say it again: the girls here are *EXQUISITE*. I don't know what it is about this country, but it rivals, without doubt, the girls of Slovakia, and I was in heaven there. If anyone is looking for a gorgeous Eastern European hookup, you owe it to yourself to come to Romania. You wont be dissapointed =P With that...wow. Lets go home. Maybe it's time. I just don't know. Cheers.
Constanta, Romania papapeta33Well, there isn't much to say about Romania. There also wasn't much for us to do. So what we did end up doing is just headed to the beach on the Black Sea, and snap a photo or two. Constanta was kinda odd, it seemed like it was trying to fit into the rest of Europe, but wasn't doing too good of a job at it.
