Travel Blogs from Milan
Today we were lucky enough to take a tour with one of Trip Adviser's star tour guides for Mian, Giacomo. We started at the Duomo where he took us to the terraces to admire this beauty from above. Made completely from Marble, the Dukes of Milan donated a complete mountain to the building of the Duomo so that it could always be made and maintained in a common stone. We're pretty sure we saw the quary on the way to Milan yesterday. 400 years in the making it was ...

It's about 2.15 in the arvo we are coming out of the mountains sun is shining but still plenty of cloud cover about, not long to go only 2hrs walk in the park We are now in what looks to be very good farming area with crops of wheat ready ...
I couldn't remember if our guided tour included a visit (on top of the cathedral) so we got in the lazy line (to walk the stairs entry was 7 euros) to the elevator for a fifteen second ride to the top for 12 euros---best deal in Italy, so far. The bird's eye view was unfortunately under scaffolding which was very disappointing to have come this far to see advertisement banners (there is no government funding, so the management is ...
