... was outrageous, sooooo many trucks and of course everything travelling very quickly. It was most tiring for John as the driver. The closer we got to Milan the worse it got, anyway, we survived. Luckily the road basically bypasses Milan and we were soon in Como.

Well from the outside of city there is a breathtaking view of the upper town but once you are in it I woudn't say the same. Still there is plenty to see wandering around the streets and lots of lovely churches to explore. But it's definitely not the best medieval town in Italy.
... right on the lake, it had gorgeous views of the Alps as well. We walked along the water and grabbed some lunch. It was very nice. We returned to Bergamo, walked around a little longer and went back to the hostel to sleep.
In the morning, we got up early and had some breakfast before we headed off to the airport to go to Greece!

Tuesday : Very restful night, thank goodness. Found a cafe and grabbed a quick breakfast of ham and brie on fresh warm crusty bread.mmmmm. Went for a long walk around the shopping precinct, and the Duomo which is enormous. Lots of work being done in the area so work men and noise everywhere. Discovered Rinascente the Department ...

For dinner we had an outdoor pizza party at a fabulous restaurant in Milan. We had salad, three different pies, wine, and Apple cake like dessert. It was delicious ! Pizza wasn't the best I have had, just a typical pie, but the wine ... DELICIOUS!!! The pizza tasted like pizza I can get at school, it was nothing compared to my Dads cooking :)
