... doors of the ferry got stuck so nobody could get off. In the end, free drinks were issued, the boat was turned round and, 3 hours later, the lorries were reversed off and we were able to get on our way.
We drove 80 km and arrived at our campsite (Monte Royal), having gone over a mountainous area with snow poles already in situ at the side of the road, at 10.15pm but, being Spain, were able to order a simple meal at the bar. It was a chilly evening at this altitude.
We planned a short day as Ryan was recovering but still a bit queasy. The city of Comillas was literally up all night. Same scenario as last night, just a little less fireworks. Today was a fun day and full of surprises.
We were up by 5, and walking by 6. It seems the rest of the pilgrims were catching on that you really had to be up early if you wanted a bed later. I say this because we were not the first ones up, in fact several groups left before us!
