bittersweet times as we touch the bases on our last two days here. Sunday we drove south to Gennadi, our favorite pebble beach, for a long swim and fish lunch just before the wind came up. Then off to the hills: visited the village of Asklepion for coffee and a church tour with our airport cab driver, Manoli (Mike) Hatz, one of many second-generation Greek-Canadians who have moved back to this lovely village. I took the bus back to Rhodes town today where I was to then find my way to my couch surfing hosts Larissa and Victors house in ialisos the coach however had a small issue with the doors where I was sitting. It seemed that there was an air lock or bubble and as we sped down the dual carriageway they kept opening and closing on their own. In the end after about 5 miles the driver pulled over reset them and off we went again. ...
