A couple of days ago I was talking with a friend of mine who is from England but is living in Malaga now. He told me that one time in a restaurant the waiter asked how the meal was and he told the waiter that it wasn't that good. He told me that normally the British will just sit there with an unhappy look on their face and never say anything. He got the meal for free. ... our ship, the navigator of the seas (royal caribbean) is repositioning to the caribbean for the winter. pricing on these types of cruises is very affordable and the type of people that cruise on the transatlantic sailings tend to be laid back, not the type who needs to be in a different port every day especially since we will have 6 sea days in a row as we cross the atlantic. i will have internet access on the ship so hopefully i'll be able to post daily.

We were so enjoying our time in Costa del Sol, nothing but beaches, pool time, and british families. Costa del Sol is pretty much the Florida of Europe, only the water´s not as warm. And the definition of a 4 star resort is a bit different in Spain than in the US... When we first arrived, they tried to put us in an apartment with 2 twin beds! Finally playing the ¨honeymoon¨ card played off, and we ended up with a spectacular room (see pics for the view). But after 4 days of lying ...

Sylvie repart pour la suisse... heureusement, je ne suis pas seule à l'auberge et passe une bonne soirée avec d'autres voyageurs!! On boit un peu, beaucoup, trop de sangria... et je décide à 6h du matin de repousser mon départ de Malage au lundi... j'ai trouvé un prof d'espagnol que je prendrais bien avec moi pour un petit bout de chemin ,-)

Ambiance de ville-plage mais la vieille ville de Malaga convivial avec ses petites ruelles étroites et ses terrasses... je trouve un livre de Philippe Sauve "Siberia" que j'emprunte à l'auberge en leur promettant de le ramener lorsque je viendrai chercher mon vélo!

Teatro Romano is another nice place to visit, heading up to the Mount Gilfrano from there allows to see the whole city underneath. Amazing view of the Torre where the bullfighting occurs.
Once seeing the precaussions was over at night, we head out to Cordoba for our last day of visit in the Southern Spain.
