... for now. This was a fairly short trip through the top part of the island. We got some nice views of the sea and a sighting of the first suspension bridge we were due to cross. Day 115 We were now heading to Onomichi, the starting point for a cycle ride across six islands that we had decided to do. Along the way on the train it passed through Saijo, a famous sake brewing area so we had to stop. Unluckily for us, several were closed due to Golden Week (getting to hate those words!) but four were still open, so we set off walking with a map. ... 1 after breakfast on this day is to track down some "Comfortable Shoes" as Forest Gump might say. We managed to have an American style breakfast (waffles, eggs and coffee) at a little diner about a block from our hotel. It makes me realize that an iHop would do a brisk business here in Japan as this was the first meal I've had that was decidedly unimpressive. We of course stop by the concierge in the lobby to get some details as to how to get to our next destination - Onomichi.
