          Excitement today as the first trip on the Shinkansen to Nagano up in the mountains where the Winter Olympics were held in 1998. Correct pronunciation is Nag...an..o. But first we have to do a train transfer from Shinagawa to Tokyo at peak hour! First leg easy as we knew Shinagawa and were surprised to see the station almost deserted, guess it is because most of the commuters are using the Metro.
