Going to see the falls of Karuizawa with Eri-chan. Water falls like strings, so some people call them the noodles strings fall or something like that. After we go for lunch, Italian restaurant. I was smelling the garlic while entering to the resto, so wanted to get pasta with a sauce containing garlic... That was in fact the case of all food haha. Even the salad. With that I took a red roses tea ^^ Petite visite ...

It is rare to ever be in that total darkness these days, and so I made sure I kept tight to the right hand wall as recommended. Apparently it is the only place in the world where monkeys are known to do this, and is subsequently often seen ...

The travel plans today were going to be quite simple. At 10am, we were taking the Shinkansen from Nagano to Matsumoto, arriving at 10.49am. We were going to Matsumoto Castle, then back to Nagano and to Zenkoji temple.

We were supposed to catch the EJR hybrid train in the morning but that was not running for some unknown reason. This train was supposed to take us to the highest station in on the JR ...

... then another cable car to Kurobe Dam.

It was freezing at the dam, even colder than at the peak at Murodo. The dam had an elevation of only 1450m but the wind was freezing. It was a great view of the dam but did not have enough time to go right to the top.

Unfortunately, the restaurant at the top closed at 3pm and it was well past that by the time we arrived. We had to buy some lunch at the counter in ...
