The plant was absolutely huge - over 250 hectares, employing 2900 workers with a wage bill of $2 million per week and they turn out 10,000 units a year! Takes about 14 weeks to complete an average one! The tour lasted 2 hours and was awesome - seeing all parts of the production process and then we had time to inspect some of the models! While we were in the tunnel we crossed the continental divide and began our descent into Denver. We were again following a river gorge, but this one was much more steep sided. We passed through a lot of tunnels as we dropped in height. Coming out of the Rocky Mountains was much quicker and in only a couple of hours we could see the plain with Denver on it in the distance.

The visit with Dave at his Univ. of Northern Iowa Wesley Foundation went really well. We got one card out of it (a young man named Jordan) but I feel may get more down the road. There were some seniors present this evening but a lot of juniors as well.
