... was an amazing surprise! Ibrahim was rescued from the streets of Mombasa about 18 months ago and was found lying in a pool of his own blood having fallen victim to a local gang and thier machetes. It's hard to imagine that now. There were lots of hugs and it was so nice to catch up with him-he is doing so well at school and getting brilliant grades. I feel very proud of him. We treated the boys to pineapple after all the hard work of the dancing and they go crazy for fruit. I'm not ...

I have had the most amazing journey! I can't believe three months has gone so quickly. I have mixed feelings about going home, I'm excited to see everyone but I don't think I want to leave here yet. There was a tour guide picking me and a few other people from the resort up at ten o'clock to take us to the ...

Today was a day of tourism, which is always exciting! We kicked off the morning bright and early at the National Museum of Kenya at 8:30a. There was no one there when we arrived, so we had the whole place to ourselves. I really enjoyed this museum, since it was a taste of about four in one (history, animals, art, and photography) spanning a huge space and two full floors. We spent time looking at animals (getting us excited and well studied for our upcoming safari), learned ...

    Getting Settled

... We got ready and had a quick discussion about our day. We were warned of security issues and at any time we could get pick pocketed while stopped in traffic in our private safari van.

We drove through our town, got out and toured the gym that was available for membership. It had about 5 machines that I’m not sure how you would use…they were very tore up. No gym membership here.

We then drove to Nairobi, and went to ...
