      ... Last night, there was a fruit salad. A fruit salad. Here, though they love mangoes and such fruits, they don't eat very much. In the hotel, I ate about 3 pieces of fruit for breakfast, smuggled some to class (no worries-Hannah knows), ate some with dinner, and ate some before bed. Here, we consume as much as we can (comes up to about 2 apples or so of fruit) at breakfast, and that's it. My family is not so big on it. But when they presented me with ...

      I have been here for two full days now, and am already learning a lot of things about Muscat, Oman, and the Middle East. We have been doing orientation a lot but today we did venture out and get to see a mosque and go to a traditional Omani restaurant and an Indian restaurant for dinner. (the rest of the day we spent at a rooftop pool relaxing.) Here are some things I have learned:
