          Back in Muscat I had time to visit the famous luxury hotel Al Bustan Palace (opened in 1985 as a super deluxe offering; once the jewel in the crown of Omani tourism).....it was all a bit rich for my blood....I fled to the raffish delights of Ruwi!           ... left with my host. As I thought, my host had showed up earlier, waited, and then left. He lived a fair way outside of the city, but not too far. He had a very spacious apartment, which included a guest room for me. He didn't have WiFi, but had a mobile network enabled laptop, which he let me use to send an email to my family, before I went to sleep.
