I got up at 5am in the morning in order to view the total eclipse and checked out of the hostel. I wandered down to the esplanade with thousands of others to check out the eclipse. Outstanding adventure down a river

Planes, Trains, Boats . . . oh my!!
... for a 3rd time to our 'parking spot' for the night. When the announced the 'pool is open', I passed. Finally had to join many of the others in 'feeding the fish' and felt much better. Under the sea and into the sky!
... a turtle, and signalled to everyone else to come see by shouting turtle very loudly across the reef!! We followed it as it swam past, a very special start to the day. The next 40 mins were spent snorkelling through the water, pointing a different fish and avoiding firey coral!
