Week 2 - Sister Freda's
This week started with going to a Christian Church service that was held in a room at the college at Sister Freda's. Mostly in attendance were the high school girls as it is mandatory for them and then a few college students. The orphans wandered in and out as they saw fit. Week 1 - Sister Freda's
Within the first 24 hours of being here I've witnessed two amazing things; a C-section at 3:00 am in morning, followed by a natural birth at around 11:30pm that night. The C-section was actually planned, original for 6:00am but the mother arrived early and the doctor was available….the rest I leave to the notion of Kenyan time. Onwards to Kitale for a rest
After experiencing the wonders of Maasai Mara National Park, Lyndi and I hopped on a matatu from Nakuru to Eldoret. Being a short stopover between Kitale and our safari, Nakuru consisted of an overnight stay, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, rum and cokes and "The Big Lebowski" on the computer. In Eldoret, we got on another matatu and then proceeded on the insanely bumpy road to Kitale.

From Sipi Falls I first caught a shared taxi up to Kapchorwa, from there a minibus to the border in Suam. After crossing the border to Kenya, I got on a matatu (that's how the minibuses in Kenya are called) which took me to Kitale.
