OK, so there were 9 of us for Thanksgiving at Mom's this year! What a surprise...it went from 2 then to 4 then all of a sudden people were showing up left and right. It was great.
I flew into Boston and got a great rental car with Satellite radio...listened to interviews with Depak Chopra and Barbara Walters who each have new books ...

If you decide to try to attend this show, or perhaps another one, let us know so we can expect you :)
Skipped breakfast and went for brunch with Jan & Jack to a deli in nearby Vernon called Rein's. At the Tuesday Morning in the same strip center I bought a stocking cap for walking about Boston, as the weather is supposed to turn cold. Jan found just the perfect one for me--brown with a few stripes that matches my raincoat.
Drove Chris around Old Wethersfield, the cove and the historic homes ...

Jan & Jack arrived at 11:00 to take us for a beautiful drive in the country--Litchfield and Kent in western Connecticut. We stopped at Lake Waramaug and had an outdoor lunch at the Hopkins Inn overlooking the water, then drove on to Kent where we walked around town a bit, admiring the huge animal sculptures scattered about. I could have spent a lot more time there! We drove over Bull's Bridge, a ...

After unpacking at our 6th floor room, we walked out the front door to go for a walk and ran into our friends Cookie & Paul Shapiro who drove up from NYC just to see us for a couple of days. Cookie had just had laser ...

Arlen, Jordyn, Mark, Karolyn, Ben, & Greg all came down to visit today. We all had a lot of fun just hanging out with each other, playing on the beach, watching our children play on the beach, and just being together. I was sorry Sara couldn't make it, especially since I think it's the first time we've all been together in two years. If she was, we probably would've pushed for the three family photo. I got some nice shots nonetheless.

Mystic Seaport, Connecticut, United States mainship... cross the Thames River, before exiting to go into New London! We found a shopping mall and went in to use the loos (too much coffee this morning!) and then used a wi-fi signal we picked up to check our e-mail.
Another couple of hours down the road and we found a small shopping mall with a Wal-Mart. Unfortunately it wasn’t suitable for us to spend the night at, so after doing some shopping at the food store we carried on another couple of ...
Chiqui and I decided to play one more round of golf and he chose for us to play at the River Ridge Golf Course in Griswold, CT. The course was fairly empty and we breezed through our round. The course was very nice with rolling terrain and very interesting holes. We went back to Essex for dinner in an old restaurant called Griswold House.
