I know, I know - you've been holding your breath - but now you made it! The first entry is here. I arrived last Thursday night in Boston, after a boring, exhausting flight via Washington. When exactly did traveling stop being fun? Well, probably once the flights got so "cheap" and the airlines had to put in additional rows ...
... So I checked in, bounced around on the comfy bed a little, and headed out to see some sights. I don't really have much time here, and had always planned this as pretty much just a place to stopover, but hey, I'm here, so I have to check out what there is to see!
The nice gentleman at the hotel desk told me the "must see" was Portland Head Lighthouse at Fort Williams. I took the scenic route because I just couldn't stomach getting back on ...

I didn't care, the hike was so beautiful and remote and mostly private, except for a couple other people I occasionally ran into on the trail. ... many more miles ahead! Tonight is certainly a sketchy camping night; I find myself on a baseball field, likely the most time I've ever spent on one. But the grass in soft and flat so I'm not complaining. I'm also back on the grid with a working phone, but I am finding the translation difficult, often turning it to airplane mode to make myself unavailable. I'm sure I'll be hooked again shortly.
