The tree's are a glow
... oude station nu een bar, waar o.a. oesters, kreeft en garnalen op de kaart staan, hebben wij zoetwater mossels geproefd. Ze zijn van de zelfde grootte als onze mossels en de smaak komt ook ver overeen, het hangt daarbij natuurlijk ook af van de manier waarop ze zijn bereid. Maar wij vonden ze lekker, geserveerd met warme broodjes. Terug lopend naar de auto hebben we nog een kijkje genomen in het Hard Rock cafe.

... of biscuits waiting for us. Great stuff, we thought. How nice of the owner to bake us biscuits, only to see the said biscuits in the local supermarket, so not home baked but still a very nice gesture.

Country Roads
... eingepasst ist. Besichtigen kann man es nur auf einer geführten Tour, für die man sich vorab online anmelden sollte. 22 Dollar kostet das Ganze - ist es meiner Meinung nach aber auch wert. Gut zwei Stunden verbringen wir hier, dann geht es weiter durch den Wald Richtung Pittsburgh.
Auch wenn mir die Fahrt auf diesen kleinen Backroads und Scenic Byways viel mehr Spaß ...
Day 1: getting outta the T-dot
