... remeasured out height  (12' 8") just to be sure and we were ok.Whew.   We also learned that both Sraddha and I have good driving skills on narrow roads, thanks in part, to our having lived in the Sierra foothills where the roads are pretty narrow in places.  All this to say was we had a blast driving this section of historic roads across Pennsylvania. On Tuesday night Ron and I were going over our travel itinerary and realized we were not going to have enough time in the Black Hills of South Dakota. There is a lot to see there and we don't want to rush through it. The beauty of car travel is that you are able to adjust your schedule as you need. On Day 2, we left Chambersburg and headed northwest 200 miles to the Allegheny National Forest. It was overcast with periods of light rain most of the way. But, it was a beautiful drive through the back roads in the mountains.

... making some work-related phone calls, a Doctor Who marathon ensued.

The next morning, Don came by for us around 9:15 am in the pouring rain and we drove to a daycare about 20 minutes away. The kids there were pretty fantastic…John had them belly laughing in no time and upon us leaving, one kid yelled, "That was a funny clown!" Good to leave the customer satisfied. ;)
