Stockton, California, United States gocarygoDropped Bert and Ace off for their "vacation" with Kim. They were happy, I was sad. Glenn, sensing the fact I was missing the dogs already treated me to a frozen yogurt on the way home-Yum, Yum, it helped me get over the separation :)

One more day and were off across the pond!
Bay Point, California, United States zumwalt... in Corning in record time for us - 3.5 hours. We stop at the Rolling Hills Casino because we very much enjoy their buffet. We don't see this as a "regular" buffet at all. The food is delicious, well prepared and presented. We especially like coming here on Tuesday and Thursdays because it is "buy one - get one free" for seniors. But, alas, it was Friday for us and the most expensive night of the ...
Lodi, California, United States dusterbin... being hard working folk, speak a kind of farmers language. For instance, most do not use the proper "seen" and "saw," you know, "I seen this the other day." It drives me nuts but I shut up about it except to Don, who I ententionally correct, as I am messing with him as I get to know him better. I don't mean to criticise the staff, as they know tons about boats, they just never needed to focus on language. I also think it is an American thing as I would guess about 30% use those words ...
Stockton, California, United States stevevall... harder and is the main reason that the old salts were shaking their heads. As the useless old caulking pulled out, in addition to the river muck deeply embedded, and instead of finding cotton, beneath the Sikaflex, I found, in every seam exposed, what appears to be window putty? Putty as everyone has told me, (and I ask everyone) is an inappropriate substance to be used in caulking. The putty has made the job of cleaning the seams a gooey mess and has work ...
Stokton, California, United States stevevall... the Salmon was a sustainable harvest before Pre-European contact and things began changing with mass fishing and canning on the Delta. The most critical change was damming the Delta area for agriculture, which made it impossible for the Salmon to go up river, which was now a lake, for Spawning. Things continue to go well on the boat, and I like the fact that it rains more here. I hope to take some photos of the surrounding area, and upload them tonight. Thanks for reading, Steve

Berkeley, California, United States hancocjb... and people were often friendly, but most of them are unable to talk to you. but some of them ramble on to you in chinese, smiling the whole time. they want to talk to you, but you just don't know what they're saying. they're very curious about foreigners and want to know more. sometimes it's a blessing though that they can't talk to you, because otherwise i think people would be talking to you all the time, non stop! how does china compare to other places i've been? i must ...
Lodi, California, United States jaynaWell, our flight back to the States from Taipei was about three hours shorter than going the other direction. The food was good, I felt more comfortable than the first trans-Pacific flight. I think I was just anxious to get home. In getting back to America, I realized so many different things about what we expect in our lives. How things are ...
