Through the American roads

We will post trip information here as soon as it starts. For 2010, we will continue planning the project and look for Sponsors that are willing to invest and support the Project. All indications in that regard is ...

Only thing here is whitetrash and god

... a spot on the sand away from the kiddies and mullets...pretty good time.

Had a dolphin swim within 15 feet of me, probably due to our perfected dolphin and mermaid calls (I had nothing on Brad and Kat´s--but it worked).

We had no idea what we were getting into.

But this seems to be the only place on earth that serves Busch Beer in bottles--worth the price of admission.

from Columbia to St. George

... before sunset--it had been raining but it only sprinkled a little while we walked. The beach reminded me a little of The Outer Banks--houses only, no condos or high-rises. The beach itself is quite beautiful--white sand.Dinner was at the Blue Parrot--a restaurant (maybe the only one open?) on St. George Island. We ate outside on the porch overlooking the ocean. I had Fried Oysters, which were very good; Larry had grouper & scallops--skimpy portions.

... space at the various state parks along the shore - we hear they are beautiful - but they are all full and seem to be quite expensive. In the end we found a new home in a small park, three blocks from Panama City beach at about half the price. It is quiet, well maintained and has three 'alligator ponds'. We didn't take an evening stroll! We'll check them out more closely in the morning.

St. Andrew's State Park, Panhandle- Florida

... we can hang a barber's pole if things ever get desperate down the road. Friday, March 14th. Went into town to pick up some seafood for a cookout tonight. We picked up gumbo, oysters and yellow fin tuna and cooked on the grill over a wood fire. What a beautiful star filled night that we got to share with Priscilla. We all had the seafood and some corn on the cob that we picked up at a roadside stand and talked late into the night as the fire burned itself out.

Another repeat..beaches and fishing

... the boat and sailing it to the pier at the condo. Then it's a calm fishing day. Except, the first boat's motor catches on fire, out in the water. The only replacement is a pontoon, which isn't the best for casting. But nothing stops dedicated fishermen/women. There's enough fish for dinner! No suprise.

It's inherited.

To say my family lives for fishing is an understatement. Mom's father Lew Wright lived on the trout stream. When we were old enough to be "papoosed" on his back, we were out hiking and fishing. Not that we remember any of it at that age. Lew was well known in Western Pennsylvania for his fishing skills. He retired early from Alcoa ...

Back to PJ's & found our new RV 'home'

... it's better and it handles beautifully. It also has a slide-out, in the living/dining area (that the Dynasty didn't), which gives us quite a bit of extra 'living' area. However, it had a pull-out type sofa, that was not satisfactory for my use. So, the boys removed it and put it into PJ's house. Then I installed, in it's place, a twin bed with storage area underneath. I also added some ...

From Texas, to Georgia, then back to Florida

... With the telephone technology of today, she was able to move the business from Maui to Florida. We got there just as she was setting up and getting everything going. It was actually fun for me because it almost felt like we were back on Maui. We were talking to the owners of activity companies, activity agents and tourists who were all on Maui and we were acting like we were, too. The 'farm' is only a few acres but it has two small ponds (where Terry could fish), a large shop ...

A close call...Then on to PJ's farm

... and the truck driver recovered enough for us not to really collide badly. The only damage was his side mirror banged ours, practically tearing it off and shattering the upper mirror (of the two mirrors in the bracket). By the time that we could pull over, he was gone and it would have been too much trouble to try to go after him (it's not easy to turn around with an 40" RV plus our Grand Cherokee Jeep SUV hitched behind)! Well, after the Perdido Key ...
