Toluca, Mexico gemmadavies2000... the closest thing to Wallgreens you will find. They have a drug store where I was able to refresh my supply of Lyrica, a medicine I take for pain as a result of an accident several years ago. Since I am living out of state, my normal doctor won't prescribe for me until I get back and see him again. This is one of those drugs which requires a perscription in writting, so I would have needed to ...

Oaxaca, Mexico netballliz... mission and caught the long bus to Cancun. Cancun is nicer than we expected, It wouldnīt be a bad place to lie in the sun for a week to relax. We only had two days there. The colour of the water was stunning and the food, tequila's etc. all come cheap enough. We arrived here at the end of "Spring Break" - the big American party season. We met an Irish Canadian guy (Andy), who was shocked to hear we hadn't tasted Tequila yet.. so he ...
Mexico City, Mexico lennyandcat... with stalactites etc hanging down and beautiful, clear blue water, great for snorkelling - very cold though I have to add! The last couple of days in Tulum involved several beers with my new canadian friend and a visit to Tulum ruins - another set of Mayan ruins - very nice though set on the shore with the fourth side of defence being the sea however still not quite as good as Tikal at sunset! On the morning I left I stood near the hostel with my heavy ...
Tulum, Mexico scrumpysue... bar by night. Look there's James having a cappuccino. Today he is sitting next to Ben, quite possibly the only interesting Brit I've met as of yet on this trip. He is in town for a short while before he heads off to India. You see, Ben was an advertising rep in England. One day he woke and decided that life just wasn't what he wanted, so he sold everything and decided to travel until the money ran out. In British fashion, Ben is having a beer. The rest of us are having ...

Mexico City, Mexico ironic100... in the car. Our target is to hit Guatemala on Tuesday, for a number of reasons that we wont bore you with....... Apologies for such a short and uninteresting entry without any pics but quite honestly it will be Guatemala before we slow down to smell the roses....and we are definitely going to do that...this portion of the trip has definitely reinforced the fact that we don't want to be rushing from place to place for the year ahead. So guys, cheers for now!
