May 07th. Salina Cruz to Toluca.
... we go! We asked a policeman for directions back onto the highway as following the others had got us a little lost. He spent ages trying to describe the route but in the end gave up and said "follow me" (obviously in Spanish).
We followed him for 10 minutes cutting through traffic with his lights flashing then he pulled over and sent us on our way. Another example of how friendly and helpful people are out here.

... Mexico City and has particles of human fecal matter in high percentages… all comes back down when it rains. You’re soaked in the stuff, and it’s getting splashed up into your face and mouth.
