    From the time I was little, he has called me on my birthday and played the Happy Birthday song to me on the piano; since I was there in person I got a special rendition on the clock chimes (and, no, I have no idea how he did it).

    Sam has not seen me since I was 3 years old or so because he went blind in his twenties. I hope that in his mind's eye he still can see the wonder and love I feel for him.

    We traveled from Aunt Peggy & Sheldon's house to Henderson, NC. I rode criss-cross applesauce all the way to our hotel. Mom drove. It rained the first half of the way.

    Aunt Roz's family is from Hartwell, GA. We crossed over lake Hartwell on our way into SC. In SC, we went passed Clemson University.

    ... I stuck with Jerky and peanut butter tortillas. Bryan also whipped out the moonshine you could tell he was longing for! There was no mixers or chasers only a little mio flavoring bottle.
