Microtel Clarksville

I am really nervous about planning this trip. It is my first "public" group cruise. I am worried that I will not get enough people. I have no idea what I am doing. I my tummy is in knots! I hope it gets better soon!

Well the other trainees and I were given a week off before we had to report to our respective bases. It was over Thanksgiving and would probably be the last holiday we would have off for the next few years. I spent the time visiting family and friends but mostly I sat around the house enjoying the break.

We unfortunately had to miss the last day of the shoot in order to stay on schedule, Rob had to be back in Erin for monday morning so we spent the afternoon making the drive back there. Once returning we were met with a homemade pot roast dinner, after eating me and jay re-packed the car for our departure in the next morning and then settled in to get some rest. We said our goodbyes and left the house here in Lebanon, CT at 6:45pm e/t October 9th 2007, me and my friend/co-pilot jay hopped into the neatly packed 2006 Dodge stratus and started off on our way to pick up our friend rob in Erin, TN who would be accompanying us to the knob creek machine gun shoot in West ...

... I threw on a t-shirt and jeans, forgoing the much needed shower due to time constraints. A chain of events took me from that moment to do all of the following in this order: Ben's Chili Bowl for lunch, babysitting my 1-year-old nephew, walking around the Georgia Avenue Caribbean Street Festival, drinking at Wonderland, seeing the Nationals baseball game, hanging out at a karaoke bar in Dupont, and back to Wonderland once again for more drinking and dancing. ... I felt awkward and out of place. I stayed for some time with my former girlfriend, waiting furtively for the spark of our once strong love to return. It did not. I also stayed with another friend, and found myself confined by my lack of options. I didn't have a job, a home or much of anything at all. As always, though, things quickly fell into place. My luck, forever resilient, found a way to slot me into a comfortable, long-term temporary ...
