We said our goodbyes to Fred and Sharon this morning and drove down the road 1.5 hours to Tullahoma, Tennessee. This small town is the home of the Beechcraft Heritage Museum. This museum is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Beechcraft aircraft. It is like Mecca to Dean.

As the extra special bonus on this trip, I took a stopover in Nashville, where the one and only Erik Wagner happened to be. We got lunch and coffee with a couple of his other friends. It was so good to see some familiar faces, and meet a new one. All in all I took about 17 hours to do an 11 hour drive (if I went straight on interstates). And I would do it all over again. Sometimes the journey is the best part.
