... in for the night. The rain pummelled for hours on the rooftop. We remained dry. The next morning we walked up to and along the shorline in the partly sunny morning air. Heavy waves from the previous nights storm still pounded the beach. Pretty.

We stopped by here just north of Ithaca, NY, on the shores of the largest of the Finger Lakes, Cayuga Lake to hike the trail to the falls. About 1.5 mile round trip and worth it. It was mid afternoon and the clouds were growing so we wanted to make some headway on the road up to Lake Ontario so we didn't dally.
Despite our not being hooked up, I was able to convince the attendent at park entrance to only charge us for one vehicle. ...
