Two weeks, five states, two thousand miles, fifteen ice cream stops, ten Mad Libs stories, and only ____ (make your guess in the comments below) arguments later we've made it back home. We ended our vacation on Sunday with a few of our favorite things: family worship service, breakfast out, shopping, Happy Meal supper, and an evening of candlelit reading. Mike tried some fishing but didn't catch anything. Still a nice ...

We went through downtown Duluth in a big wind and rain storm. Down streets we had no business hauling our 50 feet of fiberglass. When we finally found our way off to the Bob Dylan Roadway we found the highway we needed to get into Wisconsin. Unfortunately ...

... drove west on Highway 8 - a lonely road but a good one, dotted with a number of unincorporated communities that seem to simply slow the speed down a couple notches very briefly and often a gas station is the only open business and some small towns showing populations of 92 to 3400 or so. We ended our day in Chetek, Wisconsin in a lovely campground on the Chetek River. There are mosquitoes but not nearly ...
