I made my reservations last summer for 2013 Bike Week. My room was ready and clean when I arrived on 3-10-13.

The room had two queen beds, mini refrigerator, microwave, safe (cost extra to use), coffee maker, and hair dryer. The ice maker was in the lobby.

For the people who know me the hair dryer was not needed (lol). The only amenity I put to use was the refrigerator and it kept the drinks very cold.

The air conditioning and heat both worked fine as well as the shower.

I stayed here in October 2010 for Biketoberfest and I was pleased with my stay then as well.

I would recommend Microtel Inn and Suites at Palm Coast.

... back and that the residue of his stuff that surrounded us belonged to a dead guy. It felt like he was just away for a while, not an eternity. I could not shake the feeling that he was coming back from New York just like before. And he had this beautiful waterfront condo with a view of the sunsets over the Banana River that he would never enjoy again. Sad.
One of the treasures he left behind was a book by Andy Rooney, the guy from the ...

... about 10 years ago. Cool.
Wed. Night we reconnected with Caroll Brown, an Irish balladeer who lives in the low country and plays in the local Irish pub. He played a few requests and we bought 2 of his CDs which we enjoyed on the drive Thursday to Daytona. There we met up with Gary and Kerry and spent the weekend with them at the races. I won't write about them again, go see last years blog if you want the details. I will be ...

... in the cold water. This was Tom's day to be silly with the pictures, those are shells he is using. I sure do want more of those days.
Each time we go for a walk we see something new, it is the best.
Today it is cooler and cloudy but better than back home so I am not complaining.

We found the beach! Finally, after driving for days, we reached St. Augustine and our hotel on St. Augustine beach. Actually, we stayed on Anastasia Island, a barrier island just off the coast of St Augustine, the oldest town in the US. As you can see in our pictures, it's a beautiful, wide beach covered with tiny, tiny sea shells. Since it's January, the water is much too cold for me to swim but we watched the surfers in ...
