      Today was a drive day so we got up early and packed up and hit the road. The drive all up was about 700 km so a big day in a van towing a trailer. It was a pretty uneventful drive with a couple of stops at gas stations along the way.       ... awake about 6, made tea on alcohol stove -- success. Cereal, milk, juice, fruit. Packed up and out about 9.25. Stopped in town of Nerstrand for ice -- little store that sold cheese and their own sausage. Bought thuringer.

      The other piece of group symbolism and "belonging" was the patches. Thanks, Lisa!
