      So the car winds through small towns, past fruit stands selling oranges, lemons , grapefruit along flat plains where we see rows and rows of almond trees growing as far as you can see.       ... that our fuel tank holds 150 gallons. a GOOD thing is that we were not empty---so $300 did a fair job of filling up the beast. Then as Willy says, "back on the road again'.

      Travel was fine until just about 14 miles outside our destination---then we came to a crawl of 15 mph MAX. Later we were told that this slow down is an 'every week-end' occurence as folks come back from the beach on Saturday and Sunday. FINALLY ...

      ... that we met 4 years ago. Surfing here is between sea otters, seals, and a load of other wildlife. White sharks regularly visit the Monterey Bay too, making it even more exciting to surf (and swim) here.

      ... country. Apparently May is a very big month for visitors from overseas to come here for vacation. The rentals must have been seven out of ten that we passed which was pretty amazing. Ed and Betty…you are with the in crowd!
